DUBAI: Lindsey Lohan will virtually reunite with the cast of her breakthrough movie “The Parent Trap” – for the first time since its release in 1998 – to celebrate the film’s 22nd anniversary.
Former cast member, including Dennis Quaid and Elaine Hendrix, and director Nancy Meyers will share with fans some of their favorite lines from the film and their most memorable moments on set.
The reunion will go live on American journalist Katie Couric’s Instagram on Monday at 4:00 p.m. (Saudi time).
The reunion is also set to help raise money for American-Spanish chef José Andrés’ non-profit organization World Central Kitchen, according to Hendrix’s Instagram post earlier this week.
“The Parent Trap” stars Lohan, who joined the video chat from Dubai, as both Annie James and Hallie Parker, twins who were separated at birth and raised individually by one of their biological parents.
Lohan, 33, shared a teaser of the video chat on Monday with her 8.5 million Instagram followers. “This is so cool,” the “Mean Girls” star says.
Meyers added that they “discovered a big star” when casting Lohan, while the actress said “It’s just really special.”
