DUBAI: This week, Emirati singer Ahlam Shamsi took to the stage in Saudi Arabia for an unforgettable performance that closed out the Kingdom’s Riyadh Season.
For the occasion, the coach of the “The Voice: Ahla Sawt” wore several looks, including an elegant black Zuhair Murad gown that closed the event on a glamorous note. She was bedecked in jewels, including an emerald necklace by Lebanese-born American jeweler Samer Halimeh that is reportedly worth $7 million — Shamsi’s choice of accessories dazzled with megastar wattage during the concert.
The custom-made statement necklace boasted 380 carats of intense yellow diamonds alongside rare Colombian green emeralds. Six months in the making, the attention-grabbing bauble was a joint effort between the jewelry house’s New York and London ateliers. She paired the tailor-made piece with matching drop-down earrings from the fine jewelry label.
“An unforgettable night of grandiose performance by the Queen @ahlamalshamsi who made a breathtaking entrance with @samerhalimehny jewelry,” wrote the brainchild behind the necklace on his Instagram page.
After her show, the singer was presented with a gold shield from Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority as a tribute to her career that launched 25 years ago.
