DUBAI: It appears that our regional stars are dreaming of a white Christmas. A handful of Middle Eastern It girls have jetted off to cooler climes for the holiday season.

Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif was spotted in the snow-covered Swedish town of Saint Moritz this week, just days after visiting Saudi Arabia for the MDL Beast music festival.

The “Sheikh Jackson” star made sure to document her trip on Instagram, sharing a number of candid shots of her wintery getaway in the Alpine town, which played host to the first official Winter Olympics in 1928, with her 1.5 million followers.

“Back to the snow, it feels like a dream,” she captioned a series of photographs that offered a brief glimpse into her getaway and the activities she’s enjoying.

First up was a snap of a bundled-up Abu Deif posing with a black bicycle on a snowy bike trail.

The 25-year-old also shared photographs of her postcard-worthy views, which included snow-covered mountains, reflective lakes and a pair of Swedish horses.

Elsewhere, Dubai-based US-Iraqi entrepreneur sisters Huda and Mona Kattan also decided to embrace the polar vortex and the travel experiences that the winter season offers by jetting off to Finland.

While there, the sisters took part in plenty of snowy activities, such as ice fishing — in “the middle of nowhere” according to one of the videos uploaded onto Huda’s Instagram Stories — for the first time.

“We’re going ice fishing and nobody here knows how to fish,” disclosed the makeup mogul in another clip she shared. “Hopefully we catch a fish. We’re gonna do so well, I have so much faith in us (sic),” she jokingly added.

The Kattans and Abu Deif aren’t the only regional stars to find bliss in snowy landscapes.

Saudi Arabia’s first curvy model, Ghalia Hamin, was also pictured partaking in winter activities in the cozy ski town of Saint Anton am Arlberg situated in the Tyrolean Alps.

The Austrian village is a picture-perfect ski town, with undulating snow-topped mountain ranges and a winding main road, which makes it the ideal choice for the trailblazer’s family ski trip.
