'Since the 60s' musical evening reflects the history of the Saudi song during National Day Season

RIYADH: A “Since the 60s” musical performance was held during the Saudi National Day Season at the Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University Theater in Riyadh, under the guidance and support the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Mr. Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, which witnessed the display of 60 songs from the rich musical history in the Kingdom from 1960 to the current year.

The “Since the 60's” event, which ran from September the 19th to the 23rd, included traditional folklore that characterizes each region of the Kingdom.

The “Since the 60's” Orchestra also shed light on many national songs, as well as songs of the early artists, who have clearly contributed to raising the level of artistic taste in the segments of the society in the Kingdom through historical and modern singing stations and the music of various kinds.

At the end of the first day of the event, the orchestra performed the song "Winn’iem", which was written in recognition of soldiers in the southern border and their roles in protecting the Kingdom

The event was characterized in a different way with regards to the fine details, and this was the organizers who wore clothes representing the era of the 1960s.
