The Award-winning Egyptian-French actor Gamil Ratib died at the age of 91on Wednesday in Cairo’s Anglo-American Hospital following a long battle with illness, his agent confirmed in a statement.
Born in Cairo in 1926, Ratib’s love of performing started in France while studying at university.
His career spanned 65 years and saw him star in both Egyptian and French films and television shows.
Some of his most famous works include “Sou'oud ila Al Hawiya”, “Al Kaif”, “Al Saher,” “Laurence Al Arab” and “Al Bidaya."
