CAIRO: A Moroccan woman delivered a baby on board from Jeddah to Cairo on Monday, according to an Egyptian news website.
Laila Shokry, 32, gave birth to a baby boy on Saudi Arabian Airlines Flight 307 en route to Cairo.
Airport authorities said they received signals from the pilot demanding an ambulance be ready on landing to aid the passenger.
The passenger was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital, according to VetoGate news website.
Shokry apparently said she would name her child “Abdul Rahman” after the pilot.
