DUBAI: British royal the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has donated seven inches of her own hair to a charity that provides wigs made for children with cancer, UK daily the Metro reported.
According to the report the Duchess, who is pregnant with her third child, is thought to have donated her hair anonymously.
Spokeswoman for the charity, The Little Princess Trust, Helen Creese said: “It’s a complete surprise. Obviously we’re all absolutely delighted that she donated her hair, and we’re very grateful as well, just as we’re grateful to everyone who chooses to support the charity in this way, and so many people do.”
“We’re assuming that she might have sent the donation anonymously,” she added.
The charity provides free wigs made of real human hair to children who have lost theirs while undergoing cancer treatment.
Apparently the charity said they have previously received a high-profile donation from popular One Direction singer and actor Harry Styles.
