This post contains spoilers for the Season 1 finale of Insecure, titled "Broken as Fuck."
On the season finale of Insecure, we tuned in hoping that the writers would do us a solid and pop off with an opening scene of Issa and Lawrence’s make-up sex. Sadly, the writers are hateful and have no mercy, so instead of dope make-up sex, we are greeted with slow tempo sadness to compliment Issa’s relentless phone calls to Lawrence.
Lawrence is straight up sending Issa to voicemail and not having any of it. He went from gentle, open-hearted, and hardworking bae to “you are dead to me” bro who is unmoved by Issa’s perfect lips and eyebrows that mysteriously always be on fleek.
