"I'm pregnant."
Those are the heart-stopping final four words that Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino always planned to end her beloved series with.
When you consider the show was supposed to end almost one decade ago, with no possibility of a Netflix revival at the time, it seems impossibly cruel — right up there with The Sopranos in terms of a cliffhanger ending.
As Lorelai might say, "full freakin' circle" — especially since, if the Palladinos had been involved with Season 7, Rory would've been 23 when she dropped the pregnancy bombshell on her newlywed mom. That's not quite as young as Lorelai was (16) when she became pregnant with Rory, but it's certainly young enough to disrupt Rory's life and career. Read more...
