DUBAI: Jeddah’s King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) will host one of the world’s biggest DJs on June 17 when Armin Van Buuren performs at what is being billed as Saudi’s “first DJ party.”
The Dutch DJ, 41, is one of the most-successful DJ-producers in the world and played a major role in popularizing trance music. He has been ranked No.1 in the world in “DJ Mag” a record five times and has consistently been placed in the top five.
Van Buuren is no stranger to the Middle East, having performed in Dubai, Beirut, Bahrain, Jordan and Cairo in the past, but this will be his — and any major international DJ’s — first gig in the Kingdom.
