VIP mobile number auction fetches over $780,000 in Oman

A VIP mobile number auction in Oman fetched a total of $780,234 on Thursday, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority announced.
The number 7111 1111 was auctioned off at $509,752 after 66 bids, while the number 7910 0000 was sold at $46,814 after nine bids for the number, Times of Oman reported.
Proceeds from the auction were donated to charities, the report said.
