JEDDAH: Egyptian actress Nelly Karim is currently in the Russian capital of Moscow to shoot her new Ramadan TV series “Ikhtifa,” according to online news portal Bitajarod.
Karim recently shared on Instagram a picture of herself in Moscow dressed in a dark winter coat.
“Ikhtifa” was written by Ayman Medhat and produced by Jamal Al-Adl. Karim reportedly plays the role of a college professor searching for her husband, who has disappeared in mysterious circumstances. Parts of the drama will also be shot in Egypt.
The series is a social drama, and features Mohammed Mamdouh along with Karim. It is their second project together after the movie “A Man Wanted.”
Popular actress Basma will also feature in the series. “Ikhtifa” will likely air during Ramadan this year.
