Vinyl sales in the UK reached a record high last year, with over 3.2 million records sold, a rise of 53% on the previous year, according to the BPI (British Phonographic Industry).
The last time vinyl purchases performed so well was in 1991, when Simply Red's Stars topped the annual best-seller charts.
David Bowie's posthumous album Blackstar sold more than double the number of copies of 2015's biggest-seller, Adele's 25.
Bowie, who died in January 2016, had five albums featuring in the top-30 best-sellers, according to the Official Charts. Read more...
