An Olympian is being hailed for coming to the rescue of two hapless teenagers in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan.
Krishna Poonia, who represented India in the Beijing and London Olympics, sighted two young girls being harassed by a bunch of men on motorbikes in the district town of Churu, and took them to the task.

The 39-year-old discus thrower not only chased the bullies away in her car but also lodged a case in the nearby police station, the Hindustan Times reported.
"When I saw those two girls being harassed, I thought that they could well have been my daughters. That made me go after the men," she later told the publication. Read more...
