Nature can often be beautiful one minute, and brutal the next.
Especially for this wallaby in Kuranda, Queensland on Sunday. After grazing in a paddock, it found itself being slowly eaten by a 3-metre (9.8 feet) scrub python.
It all happened on the property of Bernie Worlsfold, who managed to snap a few photographs and take a video of the encounter. Suffice it to say, it's a sight.
"It was right in the middle of the paddock, there it was rolling around this huge wallaby and python," Worlsfold told ABC News.
"I was amazed by the size of his [python's] head ... he swallowed that wallaby in three hours." Read more...
