6 January video games that you need to check out

There really are new video games coming out this month, promise.

January is traditionally a quiet time for video games, but there are always gems to be found for those willing to look. Last year, we went gaga over Tharsis. What will stand out in January 2017?

Here are six potential gems that will be coming to PCs, consoles, and mobile devices over the next four weeks.

Mega Man 1-6 (Jan. 5)

There's not a lot to wonder about here: the first six Mega Man games are coming to Android and iOS. They're all NES originals, and at least a few of them are bonafide classics (looking at you, Mega Man 2). Each game will sell for $1.99. You'll be able to play them with touch-based controls, but a Bluetooth gamepad is definitely recommended. Read more...
